Plastic Ocean - The Whale - by Circo Rum Ba Ba - Newark Market Place

Families across the district are encouraged to secure their spot for this show stopping centrepiece that’s washed ashore taking place in Newark Market Place. An 18-metre-long whale will be docked in the town centre for the day and bold explorers can book for FREE to step inside the creature to experience a beautiful, funny and interactive show highlighting the impact plastic has on our environment. Adventurers will squeeze into the belly of an enormous inflatable whale where they find themselves in the depths of the bubbling, kelp-swirling ocean. With the use of exquisite puppets, comedy and music, join theatre company Circo Rum Ba Ba and explore the tale of sea creatures and their battle to survive in an ocean full of rubbish. There will be six scintillating 30-minute shows of The Whale – Plastic Ocean taking place at 10am, 10.30am, 12noon, 12.30pm, 2pm and 2.30pm. Sessions are suitable for ages 3+ with a maximum capacity of 40 people per show. Tickets are free, but you must pre-book to attend. Please note, you will not be charged the £1 admin fee for booking this free event.
