Shout and cheer for Shakespeare is here! Open Doors invites you to Play On! an interactive theatre experience whisking you back to The Globe Theatre in the year 1611. Discover the behaviours and manners of a true Shakespearean audience and compare them to our contemporary theatre standards. Learn how actors worked and performed on stage in the 17th Century and live the experiences of the play’s first audiences. There will be no sitting still and stifling coughs in this session. Come ready to dress up, shout, hustle, bustle, and get an entertaining, historical taste of the theatre as Shakespeare knew it!
