Open Doors - Discovery Days

Venue: NATIONAL CIVIL WAR CENTRE. Have fun being creative and earn a ‘Discover’ Arts Award certificate too! Free but booking essential. The day will run as follows: 10 to 11.00am: Arrival and welcome. Print making with Sam, our Artist in Residence. 11 to 11.30am: Seasonal Sounds in our Summer Art Gallery with Milly, our Creative Arts Officer. 11.30am to 12pm: Break – free squash for kids with any adult hot drink in our café. 12 to 12.45pm: Explore our galleries with a special Art Hunters trail. 12.45 to 1pm: Meet Milly in our foyer to complete your booklet so that you can receive your Arts Award certificate! Suitable for aged 5-11 year olds and their families or carers. Please note that children must be accompanied at this session. Discover the sounds of the seasons through music in our new summer exhibition, work with our artist in residence and look for all the different art forms we have on display in our galleries.
