Strings Day Introduction Concert

Join Highly Strung String Quartet and Milly from our Open Doors team for this FREE introduction to string instruments. Listen to snippets of famous music, learn some of the words that describe how the instruments are played, and discover how composers use string instruments to create music stories. With music ranging from the Baroque period to modern-day classics, its sure to be a marvelous musical morning, with opportunities for young people to gain Arts Awards. This area of the Theatre has four dedicated wheelchair spaces with adjacent companion seats and there is a disabled toilet located in the auditorium corridor. Please note, pushchairs cannot be kept in the auditorium and will have to remain in the Theatre Foyer during the performance.
